How does the EU plan to solve the trouble with rare earth elements?

According to the work of the European Commission, as of July 1, 2024, it will not be possible to market batteries that do not have a carbon footprint declaration. The declaration will specify the origin of all the elements that make up the batteries.

The European Commission aims to use mainly recycled elements. The anticipated arrangement is for 100% of batteries from electric vehicles and industrial batteries to be recycled, which is expected to provide the European Union with access to raw materials it currently lacks.
